TL;DR
- The App is free; some features may require a premium subscription billed through Apple or Google.
- Don't scrape our content, reverse-engineer the App, or use it to harm anyone.
- The App is a guide — not a substitute for professional translation, legal, medical, or travel advice.
- You can stop using the App any time. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription; do that in your store settings.
01Who you're agreeing with
The Salom Uzbekistan mobile application and the website at
salomuzbekistan.com (together, the "Service") are operated by Ulugbek
Samigjonov ("we", "us"). You can reach us at
hello@salomuzbekistan.com.
02Who can use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
03Your account and your data
The App does not require an account. The profile you create during onboarding (name, language, trip purpose, interests, bookmarks, progress) lives on your device. You are responsible for the device the App runs on, including for keeping it secure. If you lose your device or uninstall the App, the on-device data is gone — we cannot recover it.
Our handling of any data you do share with us is described in the Privacy Policy.
04Free features and premium subscriptions
Core features of the App (phrases, lessons, culture notes, survival scenarios, audio pronunciation) are free. We may also offer premium features through an auto-renewing subscription ("Premium").
- Premium is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and is governed by their respective billing terms.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google account settings. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. We can ask on your behalf, but the decision is theirs.
We may change the set of features included in the free or Premium tier, or the price of Premium. If we change the price, you will see the new price at the next renewal and can cancel before then. We will not retroactively remove access you have already paid for in the current billing period.
05Acceptable use
When you use the Service, you agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except where this is expressly permitted by law and cannot be waived;
- Scrape, mirror, or republish our phrase, lesson, audio, or cultural content without our written permission, beyond personal, non-commercial use within the App;
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm another person;
- Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Service or the networks it relies on;
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law, including export-control law.
06Our content and your license
All phrases, lessons, audio recordings, illustrations, cultural notes, and survival scenarios in the App are owned by us or our contributors and are protected by copyright. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use this content inside the App for your own travel, study, and personal reference. Sharing a phrase with a friend in conversation is fine; bulk-copying the phrasebook into another product is not.
07Feedback
If you send us suggestions, corrections, or ideas (hello@salomuzbekistan.com), we may use them to improve the Service without obligation or payment to you. We will not publish your name without permission.
08Accuracy of content
We work hard to make every phrase, pronunciation, and cultural note accurate, and we check them with native speakers. Languages and customs nevertheless vary by region, age group, and situation. The Service is a guide, not a substitute for professional translation, legal, medical, or travel advice. Use your judgment — and when something really matters, ask a local.
09Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Cloudflare (content delivery and web hosting). Your use of those parts of the Service is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for outages, charges, or content originating from these third parties.
10Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all such warranties.
11Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Premium in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 20.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
12Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription through Apple or Google. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the Service.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. If a change is material, we will surface it in the App's release notes. Continuing to use the Service after the change means you accept the updated terms.
14Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the competent courts of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory consumer-protection rights under the law of the country where you ordinarily reside.
15Apple App Store additional terms
If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these terms are between you and us only, not Apple, and that Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
